Network Management Specialist – Posting BP-015 – June 2011
Role / Responsibilities:
• Manage bluArc’s network infrastructure to ensure that we maintain better than 99.9% availability.
• Upgrade and maintain network management tools to support the above, and also customer care requirements.
• Maintain the Silhouette system (bi-weekly maintenance, upgrades, licenses, back-ups, etc).
• Upgrade and maintain bluArc’s network infrastructure for automated failover for key network elements (HSRP, BGP, etc).
• Establish and implement an enhanced security policy for the bluArc network.
• Contribute to new product and services introduction initiatives.
• Create and maintain appropriate documentation for all of the above in terms of rationale, architecture, procedures, monitoring, and so forth.
Skills / Qualifications:
• Diploma or Degree in Computer or Network Engineering.
• CCNP or equivalent qualified.
• Unix literacy, ability to set up cron-jobs, ability to do database extractions.
• Network management and maintenance experience.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve or work around problems.
Other useful skills / attributes:
• Working knowledge of VoIP networks and systems.
• Knowledge of business telephony phone features.
• Systematic approach to working, and a keen interest in continuous improvement and institutional learning.
• A couple of years in a network management role.

Sales Representative Ottawa/Toronto
Position Summary
We are actively looking for Sales Representatives to work in our Toronto and Ottawa offices. Sales experience is required with preference given to individuals with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in outside sales to the small- medium-sized business market.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include presenting and selling bluArc services to the SMB market. Activities include prospecting, generating new leads and referrals from field activity, forecasting, and reporting. Candidates should have experience in preparing presentations, proposals and sales contracts and have knowledge of sales tools including CRM and the Microsoft product suite and other necessary applications. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are required. This is acquired through completing a Post Secondary Degree and/or two plus years of sales or marketing experience.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and a vehicle.
